Why Year 7 at CAC is right for your child
Serving the region for over 70 years, Cairns Adventist College offers students the opportunity to begin high school in a supportive, personalised environment. Our new Year 7 classes focus smaller class sizes, and strong pastoral care where students feel safe to grow, lead and belong.
Our Year 7 students will learn in modern facilities with the guidance of passionate teachers and the support of a close-knit community. We focus on a calm, confident transition from primary to high school, guiding each student as they discover their strengths and step into new challenges.
We follow the official Australian Curriculum for Years 7–10, enriched with Biblical Studies (Encounter). Year 7 and 8 students will study a comprehensive range of core subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, HASS, Health & Physical Education, Technologies, and The Arts.
As students progress to Years 9 and 10, they will have the opportunity to choose elective subjects based on their interests. Beyond the classroom, co-curricular opportunities in sport, music, service and leadership round out a well-balanced and meaningful school experience.
