Welcome and thank you for visiting our Website. We trust that you enjoy looking at what our wonderful College offers you and your children.
Cairns Adventist College was the first Independent school in the Cairns region, being established in 1950, and it has operated continuously since then, moving to its current location in 1989. In 2012 we have approximately 80 students enrolled. At present the College has four classes.
In addition to the regular curriculum, students also have ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) embedded in much of their schoolwork. Each classroom is equipped with an interactive whiteboard and students in Years 5, 6 and 7 use their own college-provided laptop whilst at the college. And all of this is included in our fees...
We also take the hassle out of shopping for your child's stationery needs by providing all textbooks, books and stationery. Again, this is all included in our reasonable fee structure.
Our college has been registered to be an education provider for overseas students for over 20 years. CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students) Code 01940C Course: Primary School Grades Prep to 7.

The Seventh-day Adventist church is a mainstream Christian church comprised of people who are faith-based, Bible-believing, Bible-practising Christians.
Most people don't know it, but aside from the Catholic education system, the Seventh-day Adventist education system is the largest denominational Christian education system in the world! The worldwide Seventh-day Adventist education system includes Preschools, primary schools, high schools and tertiary institutions right around the globe. There are a total of 5,605 schools worldwide, including 4,407 Primary Schools, 1,064 Secondary Schools and 99 Tertiary Institutions, catering for in excess of one million students!
In Australia there are approximately 50 Seventh-day Adventist educational institutions (including one University Level Tertiary Institution, Avondale College) catering for over 12,000 students. In North Queensland the School System is coordinated by our office in Townsville. Australia-wide coordination is through the head office located in Melbourne. All Seventh-day Adventist schools are subject to accreditation. The accreditation process is administered by our State Education Department and Seventh-day Adventist head office, the result of which is accepted by Australian Governments for the purpose of State and Commonwealth funding. Cairns Adventist College was most recently accredited in 2008 for the maximum term of 5 years and will be re-accredited in 2013.
